Good and Bad features

A article published in schoolatoz-Does cartoon violencemake kids more aggressive?

As a result the author says it is all about balance and what kind of child the viewer is. Parents should keep track of what their childrens are watching but do not have to feel pressured to keep their childrens away from every single violent content.
It also gives information of studies of how childrens feel after viewing media violence and how different today's media violence are compared to old shows such as "Sleeping Beauty" and "Tom and Jerry". In addition, the article had quotes and at a glance which was easy for readers to understand the topic of the article.
The page had a link accessed to Common Media Sense, a film age rating site parents could use.

Though there were many good points to this article, it would have been better if they had more informations of the studies they introduced and used more images and graphs, which would have made the informations much reliable.

Media Violence- child prespective

Prespective of an child (about 10-14)

When I was little, I loved "Tom and Jerry" and Disney Princesses such as Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, and Snow White. Although they have violent content, I don't think it had bad effects on me.
Infact, I learned that I should be a good person as a child.

When I watch cartoons and shows that include violence, I know it is something that is not necessary for me to do in the real world. It may have negative impacts on some people but most of my friends know it's not okay to do the same. I think if parents could watch their childrens reactions after watching cartoons and shows, have a talk, considering their age,  parents can set a line of what is okay for their childrens to watch and what is not.
We should know what kind of violences are out there and how to deal with it. Restricting and protecting us away from it wont help.

Cons of media violence

Media violence is everywhere these days and it is almost impossible to avoid. They show them on prime time shows and even in cartoons. It will be the best if the adults are able to teach them what is right and wrong. However many kids have their own TV so the adults are not able to keep track of what their kids are watching, and even if they did kids copy what they see on TV even if they were told not to. I think that this may lead to where kids are used to violence and being aggressive by the time they grow up and think that it is an neccessary thing to do.

I have been researching about media violence.
Today I'd like to tell my opinion based on my research.

Media violence is the depiction of violence in media sources, such as video games, movies, music videos, books, cartoons, advertising and on the web. Violence is everywhere in media and it becoming harder to avoid.

Violence is everywhere in media and it is almost impossible to avoid. However, I do not think media violence would affect children negatively if parents teach their kids what is right or wrong. Children learn from what they see and what they are taught everyday. Therefore what parents teach to kids is really important for children's future sense of values.

Overall I do not think media violence would have negative impacts on children.
